to celebrate independence day, i wanted to post some upbeat songs. upon first glance, they don't seem to have anything in common. upon second glance i knew i need to make some shit up about their commonality. then my mind cleared up and realized that i wouldn't have to make anything up. here are five songs that are very different from one another. they are all great in their own right. just like the very different people who have traveled far and wide to call this country home.
