thao nguyen is a very talented youngster. she writes her own songs, plays guitar, drinks whiskey and beat boxes (you can hear this at the beginning of "hammers"). she professes a love for television. i was lucky enough to see her play at shake it records last year. she is disgustingly good for her age. and she's a cutey.

i don't have much to say about plus minus. their self titled debut album is great from start to finish. "the industrial revolution" is from that album. the main guy in +/- (which is a hockey statistic apparently) was also in the venerable indie rock band Versus.
